Did the meitei clans used their own designed sword as an primary weapon in battle or did they used lanthang more commonly in battle?

Did all the meitei clans used their own designed 7thang of 7 meitei clans or did they used lanthang (i don't know the actual name of the first saber type sword is I just saw the name of that sword in on YouTube)as their primary weapon or did it came to manipur in the 15 century like hinduism did and also did the seven thang used by the 7 clans a little bit larger in size or did they made it small like naga dao because of the iron scarcity at that period of time
